About me

Matty who ?

I was born in 1975 in the Netherlands. MatExplainHpEventAnd although being Gen-X I’ve been a little millennial nerd ever since. I’m married and proud dad of three great girls. I joined Intel in 2000 and have done a number of jobs in different departments (sales, technical, marketing, pr) in Intel since then. In my previous assignment I was appointed as enterprise solution specialist on all Intel technologies and devices in the enterprise space. In this role I supported major OEM’s, ISV’s, ITO’s, and end-customers on a wide variety of enterprise technologies, products and developments. I’ve successfully worked with numerous large end customers on activities from simple projects to strategic deep engagements. I really enjoyed worked with the international technical press extensively from 2004 to 2010 as a technical spokesperson and on occasion i continue to do this. I’m always open to discussing or explaining technology in-depth or high level to a wide variety of audiences’ great or small.  My latest assignment as chief architect is to convert innovations across the full company spectrum into solid business for a select of number global system integrators.

What is a tech-x-plain-nator ? It’s basically merging the word technology and explanation – The point is that (I have found that) lot’s of people talk about technology and all want the latest and greatest gadget or hype but rarely do they truly understand it, or do they realize the impact. I’m not (nor will I ever) claim to be an expert on all technology. But through experience and exposure I’ve seen, and sometimes even demonstrated myself just how powerful technology is and how it can and will change how industries are run and lives are lived. Technology is transformational and I can explain what that technology is the cons & pros and how it relates to an industry, company or individual.

I love working with smart people I can learn from and I love to bring smart people together to bundle their ‘powers’ and make an even-bigger impact. I have a real passion for technology, but as technology never sleeps I’m keen to keep on learning new things every day.
