Amsterdam by night

Not to long ago I organised a small event in Amsterdam, and as part of the activities I organised a boat trip through the canals in the evening. I’ve been to amsterdam many times but i’ve never actually done the tourist thing because…. Well… I work in this place and it’s kind of a homecity to me. So it was kind of fun to take in the sites and hear some of my foreign friends talk about this city. It reminded me that sometimes you just don’t see whats right under your nose. I’ve travelled to quite a few places and never took the time to take a good look at one of my own Dutch cities. So now I can at least say I’ve seen Amsterdam like most tourists have :-).
