    Goodbye Vegas

Las Vegas can be described in many ways, and it’s hard to describe this city to someone who has not visited this place before. But I’ll try. The whole Vegas experience already starts on the plane, you can just tell from the excitement level that some people project that they are heading to Vegas to have a good time. Once landed you run into slot machines on the airport itself. On the drive over to the hotel you’re likely to ride on “the strip”. This is the main street with all the fancy hotel on it. You’ll pass one monster of a hotel/casino after another, and I’m not exaggerating about the size.  Every hotel/Casino has a theme to it that is displayed in every little detail from simple door handles to large displays. You’ll see smaller scale (but still large) replica’s of the Eiffel tower or San Marco Square. Once you walk around for the first time it just feels like you are in a different world. It’s a world that doesn’t seem to sleep and after a week of walking around you’ll go home with the sound of slot machines still ringing in your ear.

I was here for a weeklong conference. And coming back to this place is always an experience.
