Geeking out over my new laptop
Since we are all spending more time inside these days I decided to splurge on a new laptop. I was looking for something to do a bit more then just couchsurfing. I wanted something that would be practical for all the regular jobs like surfing the web, netflix, checking email etc, but on top off that something that would allow me to get the creative juices going. I want to start doing a bit off fun stuff. You know do some video edting and create my own beats, maybe try my hand writing to some doodlig? And YES start keeping this site a bit more up to date. I also wanted it to be small enough for me to carry around when I travel.
There’s a lot to pick from but ultimately landed on a 13″ 2in1 that is small and powerful enough to do all I want it to do. And it’s looks pretty good to. Meet my new compute buddy the HP Spectre x360 13″, it’s not the cheapest option but man it packs a punch. It boots quickly and so far it’s handle everything I threw at it.
Let me just geek out on the spec’s real quick on a couple of key things: 11th Gen Core i7, 16 Gb, 1Tb SSD and 4K (touch) screen. And just stunning looks ! I find this poseidon blue to be elegant enough to stand out without being to blingy. The diamond cut shape looks cool but’s surprisingly functional as well. No matter what position your latop/tablet/tent screen is in the power button placed on the short edge is always in reach. Same for the USB-C connector on the side.
Sure there’s a couple of downsides; I would have loved more powerful speakers and the other models have a privacy screen option I really dig (great option when travelling) but not on this model with the 4K screen. Also the price was a bit steep. But you get a alot and you know what ? this thing is pretty good as is and as you can tell im pretty syched about it and in the end that’s what matters most
As a quick note and in case you where wondering. I wasn’t paid to post about this by anyone and I paid for this thing myself
